A garden of flags
Greets me at the old courthouse.
Jury duty calls.
###
My haiku output
Slows down to a small trickle
When the garden calls.
###
This is the hard part -
Knowing the rain is needed,
But longing for sun.
###
Spring’s successive pinks -
Magnolia, cherry, and
redbud take their turn.
###
Virginia bluebells,
those lovely ladies, emerge
just to make me smile.
###
Happy to enjoy
The dandelions even
As I dig them out
###
Moving plants before
They bloom is much like painting
Landscapes in the dark
